It was just that time of year that the AWESOME Team Botak, a local show team, to host an AWESOME BBQ. The team members showed up at 7am to help set up and I was unfortunately a little late but soon was there and ready to help get everything set up. The cars started rolling in at about 12pm and then more and more came. The grills were soon fired up and the chicken was quickly cookin’. There were some very nice imports including a hell of a lot of S2k’s, Subi’s, and there was even an R35 that showed up. The BBQ was a great success and cant wait to help host another great BBQ!

There were a lot of really nice S2k’s that showed up including this one. I loved the color/wheel combo.

I was immediately drawn to another S2k. Can you see why? FREAKING SPOON BRAKES! Super clean and he even had a Spoon intake to boot.

Along with many sets of volks, there were also a fair share of BBS wheels, including this set of White RS’s.

Cung’s brother, Dan, was manning the grill. All the team members had to take a turn on the grill but somehow they didnt want me cooking. I’m sure they were just jealous of my awesome cooking skills.

I was unfortunately the only NSX that was at the BBQ. Hopefully I will be able to get a couple more to show up next time.

Along with some other Nissans. There was this amazing DatsunFairlady 240z. One of the best looking cars of the day.

An hour or two after the festivities began, an red e30 showed up and soon popped his hood. Why? This is why: a straight six from I believe was an e46 M3.
The Cinco de May BBQ was an amazing success and cant wait to do it again!
It was nice to meet the guys from Botak! Second time I have run into you guys without knowing the event was taking place, and always so much fun to talk cars with you guys. It was my red E30 that showed late. The engine is an S52 ODB1 converted from a ’97 E36 M3. Not as impressive as an S54 swap, but lighter with about the same torque output (at least mine is.) Car is still a work in progress. I wish I ran into you as I wanted to talk about your NSX. Gorgeous btw!
Thanks for the pics, your photos are quite impressive!
