After a long a wonderful drive to Monterey, my family and I decided to cruise around Monterey, get some food, and do a bit of car spotting. We ate dinner at a local resturant called Sea Harvest. If you are anywhere around Monterey and you are looking for some good seafood, GO THERE.
All of the auto auctions that are going on are being held only a couple of blocks away from the hotel is and I there are some amazing cars parked in the parking lot, including this Aston Martin rally car that did the Monte Carlo Rally in the late 1950’s
Later in the day my family and I headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and I saw this; a Bugatti Veryon Super Sport. I immediately knew then, that Monterey Car Week had officially begun.
A block away from the aquarium, there was a line of about 5 McClaren’s. This one still had the stickers from the GG2H rally.
Jaguar F-Type’s anyone? Looks like the Jag’s are out here in force. There’s also another on staying at my hotel.
Highlight of the day: The new Pagani Huayra (or however it’s spelled). I saw one parked at Pebble Beach last year, but to see one on the move was a whole other story.
After a long first day in Monterey, it was time to park the cars and get some rest. Tomorrow: Concorso Italiano!! More pics/posts to come!
